Making the cover of a Somerset publication has been a goal of mine for such a long time. I've submitted to many of our publications and have been fortunate enough to have my artwork published in a number of various Somerset publications. At work I always enjoy see the "cover samples" every time I head over to the art department and was just waiting for the day that I saw a cover with my artwork as a cover option. So you imagine my excitement the day I saw my little French ATC hanging on the board as a cover option for Take Ten - and it was chosen!Its been a tad crazy busy recently so I'm hoping to get busy and start blogging more soon!
Congratulations on becoming a cover artist! That's a goal of mine too. And I looove your papers and journal for the Artistic Mother. Amazing colors and layers!

ReplyDeleteI personally love black, red and white together, it's such a classy color combination. It's so exciting getting published much less getting a cover, I too want to be a cover artist some day in the not so far off future (fingers crossed). I also wanted to tell you I loved your cute, little art-dolls in the recently released summer issue of Gallery. Those ArtChix dolls are so much fun to play with. I always love all your artwork whether it be in the mags or in the Creative Impulse. I can't even imagine how much fun it would be to work at Stampington. There must be
non-stop inspiration everywhere you look?

ReplyDeleteI want to make sure that as much as possible that everyone else in the group is aware of when you post something for our group, The Artistic Mother's Art Group, so that you will receive visits. Because we are so large, it is not possible to visit each and every post that every member puts up; so when you post something related to The Artistic Mother's Art group, I would suggest that you start your title off with "Artistic Mother" to maximize your chances of others from the group paying you a visit. Another thing you can do to help you remember to check my blog often to see if I have posted or check the blog roll to see if others have posted is you can put my blog on your blog roll and/or in your reader so you'll easily see when I've posted and you don't have to try to remember on your own.
